Since we’ve had our little slice-o-wilderness heaven, we’ve probably spent more time outside in the AZ sunshine than when we actually had a pool. As far as I was concerned the only reason to be outside was if a) I was in the pool or b) watching kids who were in the pool. Other than that, there are bugs, the heat and the spotty wi-fi availability to deal with. Well, at least that’s been my experience so far.
Turns out, when you have more than 1/4 acre, you find things to do. I’ve never lived in a house with a yard big enough to throw a ball around without the worry of it going into the neighbor’s yard or the street. No one I know has an arm good enough to get the ball out of our yard this time!
Kev’s been on a humongo-long bike ride, we’ve hiked to the top of a few steep and rocky hills and we’ve played outside a lot so far! This whole move has really put us outside of our “norm”, and all in a good way!
