I live to eat. As in I’m always thinking about food and always hungry. Kevin takes super good care of us and keeps our tummies full! One of his many specialities is his pizza. He’s actually made a delicious pizza for the two of us every Saturday night for the last 5 years. Well, technically we figure we’ve skipped 2 or 3 weekends, but other than that we’ve had it every Saturday and every Sunday (we eat the leftovers the next night) cause it’s THAT good! What can I say, we’re creatures of habit! The Saturday/Sunday date-night pizza is more traditional – red sauce & mozzarella cheese. The goat cheese pizza he made the other day was completely different and completely delicious.
Here’s what he used for this pizza.
Packaged crust mix
Pesto (we used jarred)
After preparing the crust, he spread some pesto on.
He then sautéed the mushrooms in a little olive oil and butter. He probably added a little salt/pepper/granulated garlic.
He layered the sautéed mushrooms over the pesto.
He chopped a few tomatoes and added over the mushrooms.
He topped it all with goat cheese and baked in the oven for maybe 15 minutes at 450?
OhmygodDELICIOUS. It was hard to stop eating but I knew I should save some for an afternoon snack.
