Creativebug – Craft Classes & Workshops Free Trial

Start your 2-week free trial

As I was perusing the internet yesterday I ran across a site called Creativebug. I think I stumbled on it once before but I may have been on a self-imposed spending hiatus at the time so I didn’t sign up. When I was on the site the other day I noticed the free trial and after that membership is only $4.95 a month.

Here’s a description from their site…

Creativebug brings the best of arts and crafts video classes in sewing, knitting, crochet, art, and more. Access to these classes will never expire and unused credits will roll over to the following month so you can start a personalized collection that reflects your talents and aspirations. Sign up now and get a 2-week free trial to our premium classes.

So seriously – as an online workshop/class junkie, how can I possibly beat five bucks a month for what feels like a personal lesson from top-tier talent on all different creative topics? Creativebug has classes on so many different hobbies and creative forms it’s crazy – Sewing, Crochet, Print Making, Ceramics, Watercolor, Home Decor, Collage, and so much more. Today I’ve been swooning over Yao Cheng and her amazing watercolor art. I watched her videos today and seriously learned so many tips and tricks that I didn’t know. The videos were of such high quality that I literally felt like I was right there in the room with her. The close ups are amazing and her way of explaining exactly what she’s doing and why was so helpful.

I hope you’ll give it a try if you see any classes that interest you.

The Crossroads of Should and Must

crossroads of should and must, life purpose, finding your purpose, book review
Squeeeee – The Crossroads of Should and Must – Find and Follow Your Passion by Elle Luna is mine!!!

I am overwhelmed with how much goodness is jam-packed into this book.

This book has been on my radar since I first noticed the glowing reviews popping up on social media. As it sometimes happens in creative circles, I wondered if some of the 5-star, “YOU MUST BUY THIS BOOK NOW”, positive reviews must have all been from the author’s friends and/or influential bloggers who had been sent free copies.

I tentatively added it to my overflowing Amazon cart. Every few days I’d see another reference or Instagram photo about this book and I’d be back at Amazon wanting it to be mine. Usually I’m pretty impulsive when it comes to hitting buy on Amazon.

But I was worried this book sounded too good to be true. I thought for sure it would be filled with fluff, huge fonts and lots of useless graphics.

I was so wrong. It’s amazing. And it’s BEAUTIFUL. I love books for what’s inside first but I also appreciated books that are visually appealing and I even like books that feel good in your hand. Yes, I’m aware I sound like a weirdo.  The covers are thick and the pages are smooth and sumptuous. Hey! These things matter, people.

Between the cover, hand lettering, fonts and art work, this book is super lovely to look through.

Ok, ok. The content. Inspiring. Delightful. Creative. Did I say inspiring?

Elle Luna is the real deal has filled her book with beautiful advice, inspiring stories and helpful nuggets of wisdom.  This book is part inspiration, part eye-candy, part self-help and part joy-filled ways to find your must.

Maybe you’re one of the lucky ones who can clearly see their life’s path neatly in front of them. However, if you question which road to take then this is the book for you. It’s basically a creative kick in the ass.

I know this book is already changing the way I view the creative choices I have available to me.

If you’d like to see more of the content inside this book, you might want to click here to follow @elleluna on Instagram.

As you can see I have now gleefully joined the ranks of the reviewers shouting to GO BUY THIS BOOK NOW. {aaaaannnnd If you click here on my Amazon affiliate link, you can show me some love at the same time for which I will be very appreciative!}

I’m gonna tie one on!

sollybaby wrap

I’m pretty excited about my happy mail yesterday. My new baby wrap from SollyBaby arrived. It’s soooooo beautiful and sooooo soft. It’s hand-dyed and gorgeous. I’m a little skeered to try to tie it on – I have images of me bondaged up like a human pretzel, but according to the ohsohelpfullooking instructions, I am a mere 10 steps away from wearing a newborn like a pro! I have a feeling  photos or a video will be coming, at least for the comic relief I’m sure they will provide. I’m determined not to be lugging a 1,000 lb infant car seat around every day when we’re out and about so this little is going to get “worn”. Can’t wait!!
